Al-Jabalya Mosque

Description:

Al-Jabaliyah Mosque in Jaffa

It is one of the prominent historical landmarks in the city, and it is located in the Al-Jabaliyah neighborhood between Al-Ajami and Al-Halwa streets.

It was founded in 1877 It was built by Haj Muhammad Al-Sakahfi, and is known for its high location overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.

The mosque is also used as an educational center (religious school), and is considered a symbol of cultural and religious resilience in Jaffa, despite the urban challenges it has faced, such as the obstruction of its minaret due to neighboring housing projects.
